question about reflector headlights

Featured Replies

hi,

i noticed that when i first switch on car lights , after 2-3 seconds lets say that output power drops to 90-95 % ( let's say 5-10% decrease)  and stays there with no other problem

i have philips led gen 2, not the stock halogen.

does anyone noticed something like that?

or else i will swap again to halogen and check if happens the same thing

by the way beam is SUPERB! i heard aboyt chineze kits that dazzle and light goes everywhere,

i coul day that it is even better from halogen

I'm sure your lights look fantastic from where you are sitting - it's the people coming towards you that will be dazzled.

These are reflector lenses - that light is not coming out with a nice cut-off, the clue is in the name - that LED light is being reflected all over the place.

Sorry, don't have any answer to your exact question - but you are dazzling oncoming traffic with a setup like that.

@haris

The moment you changed the stock headlights halogens, you went outside legal boundary. There is a reason why only factory LED headlights are legal. They are certified/approved after passing numerous tests of safety for driver, pedestrians, and incoming drivers. The brightness drop you mentioned could be manufacturer related or due to a mismatch with existing electrical system. Other than that, I agree with Stoofa. You might like the brightness of new LEDs a lot but incoming drivers will not. From my knowledge the police from Greece is equally unhappy with such non-stock headlights.

Looks good, how are the high beams?
