Clock Lost Setting / Time went to 12:00

Featured Replies

A bit of an odd one last night went shopping upon return to car the clock had changed from 7:30pm to 12:00.

Noticed it while driving that time was wrong. On reaching destination I tried to change the time but not an option so did GMT plus 1 and it found right time, so reset to GMT and all sorted.

A bit odd...

Not a major issue but makes you wonder what happened...

Cars are getting increasingly complicated. Lots more electronic controls, programming and software, so more glitches.

As every IT colleague I've dealt with says "have you tried turning it off and back on again?"

It's only going to get worse :D

Mine did this whilst out tonight, it dropped the actual time and reverted to 01.00,  Jan 1st 2013 - I gave it a reasonable time to GPS reset but no, nothing!

I am not convinced that the ‘setting by GPS’ feature is that reliable.

In newer vehicles it wont even advance the clock by 1 hour when entering Europe.

Despite the infotainment system advising you of new speed limits.

My old (2015) Octavia used to manage this feat without intervention.

The 2018 replacement does not.

SUK have told me I need to drive further east for the time zone to be recognised!!!!

Not a helpful reply when going to Spain or Portugal - which also use CET :wall:

Mine has also started doing this.  Mine has reset to 00:00 a number of times now but normally after about a minute or so it reverts to the correct time.
