Facelift 2017 Octavia 2.0tdi dsg (oil capacity )

Featured Replies

Hi just dropped the oil and oil filter out of second hand 2017 Octavia 2.0 tdi dsg SE L

5.5 L dropped out

car has only done  18,000 miles

i thought full capacity was 4.3 L-4.6 L max

Can't find anything on new facelift model online and handbook is useless on correct max capacity

Any vw or skoda experts able to confirm what is max capacity if engine was bone dry (new engine)

cheers

Do you know the engine code ?

The 2.0 CYKA is 5.5 litres, the rest are around 4.6

Sounds like you have the same model as me mine is a 2017 2.0tdi 6 speed DSG estate. When it went in for service the garage left the remaining engine oil in the 5L containerin the car for me, from memory it was just under half a litre.

I can't remember the engine code off top of mi head, sorry.

I find this in every new car I buy, there always seems too much oil in it, 5.5L is well over max on dip stick

Thanks Classic,

Engine code is CRMB So rough estimate is 4.7L refill if filter was done, but always check dip stick and add 1L at a time.

If engine repair was done 5.3L

Classic
