SATNAV UPGRADE

Featured Replies

I am looking for advice how to upgrade my 2017 octavia satnav

What's wrong with it that you want to upgrade? Don't get me wrong there are always better options but if you tell us what you want that it doesn't currently do we can help further.

I am a taxi driver i used the the satnav a lot and some of the new roads in my area are not showing up on the system

Better still buy a Garmin, TomTom or use Google Maps.

The new maps aren't great. I'm still trying to get it to accept postcodes, so use Google Maps or my Garmin instead.

My system doesn't recognise several that I use, one being TA24 0LN (Raleghs Cross Inn), nor TA26 6LB, CT18 8XX.

I am going to try and update my system to traffic and sign recognition and some of the roads speed limit have change and to satnav is still showing the old speed limit

As a 2017 it’ll have SmartLink capability so that’s an option for Google Maps, Waze etc from your phone if the Skoda ECE2019/20 built in map is no good to you. I find mine good but it’s the Columbus and it still has some missing roads or duff instructions.

Ah you're back! I've missed you and your advice.

I use the smart link but when i have customers  in the car i tend to switch it of because some customers complain and it does not look professional when you are driving a customer and start receiving calls and txt so i just disconnect my phone

I've tried to use it another thing that I get befuddled with, so leave it alone.
