I am having problems with my fabia, I turned it on one morning and it was idling awfully and there was a lot of blue smoke. Poked my head under to check and I saw that the turbo was dripping with oil. Did a quick research to see what the problem was and the only thing I found online seemed to be irrelevant to my turbo issue. I haven’t drove it since and it’s currently in bits due to fitting a new clutch. I know it’s vague but can anyone help. Much appreciated Shae.

You should whip the turbo off while it's in bits and check it for play or damage.

Clue in the question I think! ;)

As well as the turbo, check any external oil hoses around there, and the associated area of the cylinder head side. Oh yes, and have a look for oil in the base of the intercooler.

When my turbo went, it somehow got oil into my old air intake the box one, and was sat in the pipe so everytime I started the car up it blue smoked for ages, at idle it was juddering, take your intake pipe off and have a look inside to see if there’s any oil sitting there just changed my intake was shocked how much oil was in the pipe that’s the new one i have just fitted
