Columbus on off switching

Featured Replies

I have a 2014 Superb 2l estate 4x4, recently the system has started switching itself on and off. I can start car, no system, drive a short while it switches on. Or, it's on and then switches off only to switch on again after a while. Any thoughts, answers??? Thanks guys and gals

If you're close to me in North Yorkshire then stop in and I'll have a look.

Thanks my friend, unfortunately, I'm up in Scotland

Or you could post it to me.

I'll keep that as a backstop thanks

might be worth trying to reload the firmware.

I wouldn't recommend that. If the unit switches off mid update then it's cost you a new unit.

Thanks, how about a soft reset?

You could try, but I doubt it's gonna help. Press and hold (all at the same time) the left & right arrow buttons and the microphone button til it shuts down.

Thanks my friend, you were correct. must have been a fluke the unit switched on when tried to reset. one thing that I forgot to mention is that while the screen is switching on and off the CD is attempting to read, mind you nothing in the disc. Any ideas or is it kaput??

Gonna need it here for proper diagnosis I think.
