Just wondering if anyone on here had compared the claimed bhp gained from a remap with the independant results from a seperate rolling road?

Reason I ask is a guy at a RR day (with accurate RR) I went to recently got 247bhp from a LCR, however the tuning place RR said it was 270bhp.

Just wondering if you lot have had independant checks or just taken their word for it?

As always, a before and after on the same rollers, on the same day to show the difference is the best bet.

When I bought mine six months back I was told by the previous owner is was running 230bhp (and it was advertised on here as such). A quick trip to Power Engineering (the most accurate dyno Ive been too over the last 9 years of car modifying) showed 190bhp!

I take all figures with a pinch of salt to be honest - id probably never be fully convinced of a companies readings if they have just done performance related work on the car ie a remap. Id always go somewhere independant but thats just me.
