VCDS Conding Roll Down Front Windows

Featured Replies

Hi

It's a pleasure to join this community.

I've tried to find  the solution to my problem within the forum topics without luck. Yesterday I did the maintenance to my  wife's Skoda Fabia MkI 1.4 TDi and after that I've deleted the "Inspection" warning via VCDS. Everything was fine, no errors reported after full scan. While working in the car, I disconnected the battery for a while so I suppose that programming memory for the front windows operation was cleared. My wife just told me that currently the driver window doesn't roll down all the way down after just one click of the switch. I can't recall, but she told me the car operated in that way before my maintenance job. Not sure if windows switched can be reprogrammed with some kind of clicking combination. If this is not possible, do you know the VCDS coding route for restoring the lost function?

Thanks in advance for your kind help.

Try opening the window fully by holding the switch ALL the way down and then doing the same to close it. If I remember correctly this procedure sorted out my Octavia after a battery change.

This does work, but you will need to do this multiple times until the 1 touch comes back to life again

I used the key in the drivers door lock. Turn key and hold in unlock position till the windows open fully. Now turn key and hold in the lock position till all the windows close fully.  Release key and then turn to lock position again and hold for 5 seconds. Done.

Thanks a lot for your help. I did what LB123 suggested, everything was solved with a simple action on the door lock. Now wife is happy again :).
