yes, he only had it since before winter, has a nice 850 T5R "summer car" in his garage, and always buys a 4wd that needs some work for the winter, does it up and sells it. it had some ABS rings, new swirl flap arm, cambelt and service, new alternator, new bottom arms... think that was it.

Right my next door neighbour mech, has sorted it, taken the leaking valve off the old injector, swopped it with the good valve off the old injector , reassembled it, and its all working! My main mech wanted £500 plus in parts before taking on the work.... I have paid £80 in parts for a DPF pressure sensor and 2nd hand injector, and £80 to my neighbour for his time, and we are sorted! £160 for a job that could have cost £1000! 😮

*sigh.... now we have an intermittent ABS sensor fault..... where did volvos get their reputation for reliability ? The bloody alfa didn't go wrong...

Oh dear. Has this one had quite a hard life / less than sympathetic former owners I wonder? 😒

maybe.... think the jobs he did on it were half arsed..... when he bought it the electronics didn't work.... he replaced ABS rings and sensors... however, i had a look, and I'm fairly sure the bloody wires shouldnt be touching the calipers 😞 It seems to be behaving at the moment.... Handbrake has never worked... he replaced both back calipers too.... I guess he didn't connect or adjust the handbrake properly! that will be fixed come mot time....
