Hi I've got a problem with my phone it connects to through blue tooth ok but when I first bought the car Google maps used talk to me through the radio but for some reason it doesn't do that now the phone works ok but the navigation don't work my car doesn't have its own navigation that why used Google it works on ok as soon it's connected to car it cuts out

What age is the car and what infotainment system does it have?
Have you tried connecting it with a USB lead?

Google Maps has an option to send voice instructions as a phone call - have you checked the settings?

My car is a 2014 the radio bolero on the way back from Swindon I had the phone charging I'm wondering if that does same as USB lead I did try again the other day but got know success because the blue tooth is on you can't hear from the phone at the moment I'm turning the blue tooth off and listing from the phone but it's so much better through the radio thanks for replying both of you. Ps Didn't know Google maps had that settings

I miss something out

Check that the phone is connected on Bluetooth for audio as well as phone calls.  You may have to look at the Bluetooth settings on the phone to find that out.  ISTR my phone has managed in the past to connect only for phone calls (might have been when I had another device in the car, such as my tablet, which was connected for audio).

 

Another troubleshooting option: depending on the age of your Bolero you may have to set it to BT Audio to get the Google Maps voice directions coming through.  I think you can then switch it back to another audio source and the phone audio will break through when necessary, but it's a while since I used my phone like that (I have Smartlink on my new Yeti) so my recollection may be faulty.  (Quite possibly I just used to listen to music on the phone when I was using it for navigation.)

Success I got it working only thing is I can't have the radio on has soon has I put the radio on it stop coming through I don't mind that I do have it on BT audio or extra thanks for your help ejstubbs
