3.5 years and 106,880 miles and my Superb Mk3 is going to it's new owner today. I thought a small report would be useful to current and prospective owners:

 

Skoda Superb Hatch 2.0Tdi Manual SE-L 150

Purchase price : £26,000

Value at the end : £8150

Start Mileage : 6

Finish Mileage : 106,880

 

Costs;

4 sets of front tyres (current set have 3k on)

5 serviced with one due now

1 set of rear pads and discs due to corrosion 

Original rear tyres still and front pads / discs!

Replacement glovebox under warranty

 

That's it, amazingly cheap to run.

 

I've purchased it from my lease company and I've sold it to a Taxi driver from down south, made a small profit on it myself and have quite enjoyed the experience!

It'll make a great taxi and will really look the part..

 

Truly the best car I've owned, I've now got a VW Arteon on order, due June '19. I would've ordered another Superb but the lease costs were prohibitive to say the least.

Only the 1.5Tsi 

The deprciation was £428 per month before selling it on for a small profit could you tell us the lease cost? Amount of deposit and how much per month and were tyres/servicing included. TIA shy.

Someone posted on the Piston Heads that their dealer (or possibly lease company) had told them the 190 orders were getting cancelled? There’s been no more news on that though. Have you seen that? I hope for people like you it’s not correct.

The January notification was that there should have been an update last Thursday but that looks to have been put back, allegedly to sometime this week.

I just tried to find the comment on the Arteon Lease thread but can’t get the thread to load at the moment...

 

I looked at an Arteon lease (My lease was due to end next week) as the Superb was over 150 a month more than the current one.

 

A 1.5 Arteon would have been about a tank of fuel more a month than the current diesel superb so I ended up extending this one by a year and have in until next April.  Intention is to see what prices for the new Octavia are like next year.

 I’d looked at Superbs but the prices on lease were dreadful, unless you wanted an S trim (no thanks). I was disappointed and had settled for an Octy, but then the Arteon came along.
