Yeah youtube vids of him ragging the nuts out of it, just to get the exhaust valves to open.  I bet the engine/oil wasn't even up to temperature either.  I'd have stayed well clear.

To be fair it was a 12 year old doing the ragging that day not me ! Er. I mean yes it was me !

It was gently run in on the Skoda Press Fleet by one J.Clarkson who said it sounded good at 7,000rpm in 1st gear.

My final payment is due this week, can't believe 42 months have passed, like you, the car will finally be mine, and probably my last new car.

My finance ends on June 2nd, do the finance company get in touch before the final payment is due or do I need to initiate something?

VW Finance contacted me about 6 weeks before the final payment is due, basically what ever the final amount you owe, they will take it as a direct debit payment , so need to ensure there is enough money in your account to settle up.

Yeah as roughrider says make sure funds in on normal direct debit day. They don't mess about it came out about 1 minute past 12 lol !

Well, final payment made today, car is now fully paid off, like Nick_H, the car is now mine, 42 months gone in a flash.
