Hi I am thinking about geting a Superb 1.4 petrol estate, but I am conserned that the engine will not be powerful enough can anyone give me there comments please.

I've got an Octavia 1.4 tsi estate from 2010. It accelerates well enough for me at motorway speeds to get into gaps in the outside lane. I've certainly not been embarrassed in it. The DSG box may help as it drops down smoothly through the gears as needed, especially using kickdown.

You might want to ask in the Superb sub-forum though.

Gone are the days where a small engine automatically means low power.

 

The 1.4 TSI is a cracking engine, and at 150PS is more than ample to lug around the Superb with gusto.
