Help please ladies and gents. MFSW & phone coding

Featured Replies

Help please guys;
I have added a MFSW and BT module to the car today and I am getting the following faults on VCDS.
Am I right in thinking the steering wheel fault may be mechanical/electrical as opposed to coding? Everything appeared to click into place as it should do but I will pull it apart again if you suggest I should.

The phone one I have looked at the coding and read quite a few threads on it but I can't clear them either.
Any help woud be much appreciated.
Mk2 PFL vrs estate.

According to Rosstech, yes

Coding for the Bluetooth module appears to be incorrect. Looks like you need to address the coding issue only for that to work.

MFSW I have no idea but I would guess maybe your steering wheel controller doesn't support the new wheesl buttons?

What part number are your MFSW buttons?

A full autoscan is always helpful too :-)

The MFSW is a MK2 fl wheel with the bog standard buttons - I think I've figured that bit out, a mistake on my part d'oh

I also think I've figured out the open circuit. I got a cable from carsystems.pl and clicked it together with the sds/no sds clipped together as SDS, does that sound like why I have the open circuit?

I only posted the faults I didn't think it was worth posting the non fault bits of the scan, sorry.
