hello there!

im now the proud owner of a red fabia vrs! great wee car and makes my commute to and from work so much fun!

i was thinking about getting it chipped but im worried about the long term effects on my cars reliability.

anybody had problems with a chipped fabia vrs? would be interested to hear.

Welcome to Briskoda. as far as chipping the car is concerned, because it's a Diesel and the engine is very strong, it makes it ideal for a remap. It will easily handle 200 bhp but the main Achillies heel is the clutch. I would go for a Generic remap of about 170 bhp (like the AmD One Click) which is pretty expensive (but check out the Group buy on this forum) save lots. Just do a search. They need more to sign up.

Good luck and enjoy.

Jon.

It doesn't matter, if it's red , it can withstand anything, believe me !

Just look at Mick Hucknall, he has been nackered for years and is still worth millions !

hi and welcome. REMAP. :D:thumbup:

Lo & welcome to the world of no money left to do another mod.:orb_bonk:

Hello and welcome. As far as reliability is concerned. NO PROBLEM AT ALL!

Look at the group buy on the site for an AMd One Click unit. Bargain at £150 OFF. This will give you 170 BHP and its reverseable at ANY time!!;)

From your user name you might be from Glasgow? If so nip over to have a chat with Jim at Star Performance in Dysart near Kirkcaldy. He will make your little Furby into a car to be reckoned with

There's also Bedrock in Wishaw who I believe do Jabba remaps.

Neil

Welcome to Briskoda

I can recommend the one-click ;) but there are also lots of mappers out there who will tailor your remap to your requirements, such as limiting the torque low down in the revs to prolong the life of your clutch... Jabba and Custom Code are just two that come to mind.

Welcome to Briskoda! :D

Welcome :orb_wave:

As you can see there is plenty of advice on remaps ( more if you search), it all basically boils down to :-

1) do you want a generic swapable remap ? OR

2) do youwant a personalised remap ? ( not immiediately swapable )
