I miss seeing the clock on the radio and have not found any reference to having the clock appear without the radio. I can cycle thru the info using the rocker switch but that is distracting and I am more keen on seeing MPG with my new Fabia VRS! Can the unit be setup to show only the time?

AFAIK, the only place the clock is displayed is on the computer info readout which is annoying if you want to make use of the info like mpg or trip time. Also seems to wind up the passengers who can't see the clock either.

Maybe get one from Halfords you could mount where the blank switches are above the radio?

That's a good idea but seems odd that other radios can have time showing, but not on the Fabia! I'll check out Halfords but I don't want to mess up my nice new VRS!

Or get an aftermarket H/U that can display the time

I'm going for a Talex so it displays the time mostly & keeps SWMBO happy that way, whilst providing a useful primary function for my purposes

Sorry, but you have lost me! What is a Talex or H/U? I'm a bit of a rookie and not sure what this refers to.

Talex is a speed camera detector and an H/U is a head unit (ie replacement stereo)

H/U = Head Unit (stereo) Talex is a GPS based speed camera etc warning device (which shows the time when either stationary, or can be selected to permanently show the time. edit - beat me to it.

Exactly what my Missus is like. "what's the time, what's the time" Just look at your watch for goodness sake, it's MY Talex !
