2015 VRS Tdi - 'Coolant Leak Check Engine'

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have my 2015 Tdi VRS since new and unfortunately I sat into the car today to this infamous red light message. I looked under the car to see a pool of coolant; which makes sense as the tank was empty. This is despite it being full less than four weeks ago.

Naturally enough I contacted Skoda Assist who picked up the car and dropped it to my local Main Dealer. I've been reading through posts here and I'm dreading that it might be the infamous Water Pump issue.

Question is - should it be that issue - has anyone gotten any Good Will from Skoda in respect of that? My car is 11 months out of warranty - and the Water Pump/Timing belt job according to the skodaservice website is €550.

I won't find out what the problem is until Monday so have a loan and a courtesy car lined up for next week. Anyone any experience or help in this?

Hopefully I'm not being too cheeky enquiring about good will. I've had the car serviced religiously at the dealer. Even a complimentary service to go with it would ease the burden - considering it wasn't meant to be going in for another 10,000km.

Thanks.
