VCDS - auto locking / anti hi jack activation

Featured Replies

Hi my 2017 colour edition didn’t come with this activated and it has no options on the radio screen. Has anyone activated this please?

I activated this feature on my wife's August 2015 Polo SEL just by using VCDS and ticking the appropriate option. Her car, I don't think, has it listed on the infotainment menus - I'm not sure if I added it after enabling it - ie so that she/we could switch it OFF/ON on demand as that was never in my plans, I just wanted it enabled.

Any idea where I find the correct section for this?

BCM is where I've recorded making that change or these changes - both auto lock and auto unlock, far to long ago for me to remember, look into BCM with VCDS and you will find out where this/these options are.

I thought the auto locking was only when moving.

Correct, it automatically locks all the doors when the car is moving at greater than maybe 5MPH - I end up with the doors locking while I reverse up our driveway, sadly my wife never has them locking during that move!

10mph for me, as activated via Carista. (Though might’ve been through their beta version as I was trialling the hill hold function for them).

It's a standard mod for Carista now and doesn't need a beta (I did it back in December 2018).
