Hi I am new here and without much knowledge about the car so please bear with me. I own a skoda laura 2010 in India. Its known as octavia Mk II elsewhere I am told. at least most of it is common with octavia MK II. i need help with something called as PCV pipe. its a small bent pipe exactly behind the engine oil cap which goes into a round cap. as far as i recall it was a bent metal pipe till yesterday. my garage guy told me its leaking and losing oil. i could see oil on it and the other large plastic pipe to which its other end is connected. the part was not available and hence not changed. but today i saw that in its place there is a plastic pipe. on inquiry garage guy says its always plastic and i must be mistaken. but i doubt i saw wrong. please inform if its metal or plastic pipe. also if anyone knows the part no. as far as vin no check is concerned my vines not recognised by any of the sites online as its India VIN. Help please.

I think you're looking for item 7 here BUT for your engine; this one is an example and is for a 1.4 petrol.

 

If you tell us which engine you have (ideally engine code or otherwise capacity and fuel) that should help narrow it down.

THANK YOU GUYS. i found the part online because of the number given by Nige8021. i have confirmed from the garage guy that its the part. gonna get it in 8 days. Hope it fits correctly. there is another pipe i am looking for it carries the coolant into the engine. it s large bent pipe but its fixed and can't take a pic. will try another day and ask you guys. Thank you again. this forum is amazing.
