Ill fitting glove box

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda Superb L&K, the glove box has never closed properly from new, despite several complaints to the dealer they have informed me this is not a ‘warranty’ item, Skoda customer service also didn’t want to help, think I might have to go to ‘trading standards’ on this one, had Skoda Octavia before, no issues with that, don’t think I would buy anything else from them if that’s ‘customer service ‘ anybody else had any problems?

Welcome.

It was a Warranty Issue not excluded because it was a fit issue within 6 months / 6,500 miles.

Go back to Skoda UK Customer Services if you are in the UK.

If still not closing properly and you reported it ASAP then they can still get a shift on and get a competent tech to fix it.

Mine has opened and dropped down a couple of times.

The pin lugs don't quite line up. I dropped it down off the hinges and put it back, made sure all items were clear inside and closed it firmly,  it has been ok since. I think it can twist easily and so only one pin locates?

Also remember it barely has room to store a sheet of paper, so anything of any size will stop from closing properly.
