How to remove the BCM on a mk2 Octavia Facelift model.

You have a FL right?

 

From memory, it's something like:

- Remove headlight switch

- Remove two trim pieces either side of the steering wheel

- Remove dash side panel

- Remove lower dash panel, held on by about five screws

- - When doing this, watch the OBD port as it's attached, probably worth unclipping it

- Unplug the three BCM connectors

- You might need to remove the relay panel above the BCM

- Unclip the BCM and remove

 

Why do you want to remove the BCM, is it related to your auto headlight retrofit?

Yes so I can attach the missing wire from the headlight switch 

You shouldn't need to remove the BCM.

 

The connector will come off with the BCM in place. You'll then need to slide the connector apart to add the extra wire/pin :-)
