SE spec - do they all have cruise control?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Current SE spec seams to have cruise control but I don't know of this is true for all years.

Does anyone actually have an SE without cruise?

Thanks

Yup, my 2016 model does not have it.

Before the face lift, cruise control was not standard on the SE (in the UK). There were special offers at various times which did include it though, in particular in the spring of 2015, when I was fortunate enough to get mine (also included auto wipers and headlights).

My April 2015 does Not have it.

In truth I’be had it on previous cars and don’t miss it, but each to his own.

Thanks all,

Can be retro-fitted by dealer.  My 2015 didn't have it but missed it from my last car so paid £195 to have dealer fit it a couple of years ago.

Interesting. Is that the order, build or delivery date? It was part of the same deal that included park assist and ACC on the Elegance and, I think, satnav on the VRS, which was offered from early March until at least late June. I thought there was a thread about it at the time, but I can't find it, just a few mentions in other threads.

Agreed, I don't think it's that useful a lot of the time on busy British motorways.

A different perspective from Scotland. It's very handy on roads like the M90 / A9, with avereage speed cameras. Granted, you need to click it on /off or click the spped up/down if the road is busy, but generally that's not the case.

We have nowhere near the volume (AADT) of traffic south of the border, thankfully :)

Assume delivery date. It was first registered 1st April 2015.

When I was looking for a 3 yo last year I was deliberately looking for a poverty spec SE because I was fed up with niggly bits of gadgetry playing up (previously had an Octavia vRS and 2 Superbs)

+1 to this.

Not even just busy motorways; the standard of lane discipline in the UK is god awful.

I'm in the other camp.  Use it daily on all manner of roads whether keeping to 30 or cruising on the motorway.  It works at speeds above 17/18mph so I even use it at work in the 20 limit.  I am so used to it that its a reflex and I really do miss it when in MrsG82's mazda.

Well this is for the better half. She has a 50x2 commute three days a week where 30 of those miles are dual carriageway.

So, she's asked for cruise.
