Clutch Noise

Featured Replies

Hi all i got a 2014 skoda citigo and when you start the engine and let it idle warm or not, it sounds kinda rattly, but when you put your foot on the clutch and press it fully to the floor or even until the clutch is fully engaged, the rattling Stops, Any ideas what it could be. Thanks

Don't worry. It is normal.

Yep, normal. Mine does it

oh ok just a bit anxious as i had the engine running and heard it as soon as i was ready to go

I'd say it's gearbox. But it's still normal.

Back in the day, rattling like this was caused by the clutch release bearing/fork. I guess they still work the same way as they did 40 years ago?

Back in a day, 3 cyl engine and uneven idling was a joke. Something has change in 40 years. For example oil viscosity.
