Manual Boost Controller vs Remap

Featured Replies

not sure there is a lot of point in doing the K04 route myself, you'll need to uprate/change injectors, manifold, boost pipes, map etc etc to get it to work. you might aswell change the parts needed to fit the garret/ihi turbo and give yourself much greater potential

Having gone the Jabba IHI route as well I would agree, its not only the bhp figure, its the massive torque & the way it pulls from really low down. Ive also strengthened the Internals & achieved 356 bhp which with 4wd gives a fairly useful car.

The KO4 is still a small turbo & will be working very very hard, Ive heard from some sources that they arent the most reliable when pushed. If you want to keep the std set up might be worth talking to Allards to see if they can build you a hi-brid turbo

As for clutches it ate the Sachs Organic & is now on a Sachs paddle clutch which is honestly smoother that the Organic one, something thats somewhat suprising.
