I've never had a heated windscreen before, when I turn it on after a few minutes, the top of the screen gets warm, however the bottom stays cold, is this normal?

 

I thought the strips heated from the top and bottom?

No there are no strips, pretty much the whole of the screen (might even be the whole screen) has a metal coating , if part of the screen doesn’t clear then the screen maybe faulty, however if you have air blowing on the screen that all also cool it.

 

Thanks, I turned the air off, just to check and used an infrared thermometer, the bottom of the screen stays cold and the top warms up, I'll book it in under warranty I think, they can sort my seat memory whilst I'm there.
