Be very careful fitting HID kits to the facelift MkII Octavia.

 

There have been lots of threads over the years of them causing issues with the cars BCM, resulting in blown wiper motors and stuck-on indicator bulbs.

@Catzeye I see you're in County Durham. I work close to Spennymoor.

 

If you did go down the route of upgraded halogen H7's I have a brand new unopened set of PHILIP's WhiteVision's...

 

 

I paid over £20 for them, they're yours for a tenner if needed...

Sure, no problem, I have no use for them now. I bought them for my Superb as a spare set but recently sold it...

 

 

So they're now surplus to requirements.

Ok just a qwick update on this topic, big thanks to silver1011 for supplying me with the Philips bulbs, after installing they are ok, not as white as I would like but knew that after reading the reviews on them, does anybody know what the two other bulbs are for that you also get in the pack with the h7s?

I imagine the bulb manufacturer will know. The only data point you've given us is that they're not H7s.

There capless, I'm thinking that they are for the side lights but with the vrs using DRLs the sidelight bulb holder is actually used for the main headlight beam!! Do you know what size bulbs for  the mainbeam are and also the  front fog lights?
