Key battery replacement

Featured Replies

I just had the remote key battery go (nearly) flat today. The remote worked the boot and locked the doors, but it would not open them. The car is only one year old. Isn't that a bit short-lived? My previous Fabia remote was still going strong after 3 years. Before that, my Golf used two over 13 years.

The battery is a common CR2032 button cell. It is easy to replace, although the case is a bit stiff to prise apart. I would like to keep a spare battery in the car, but that could be as much use as keeping a spare key in it.
