Sports suspension factory option

Featured Replies

Done 600 miles now in my new Fabia. I went for Skodas own sport suspension, purely as my last Fabia which was a 2016 sat way too high. Is it worth it? A massive yes, the two cars are like night and day. Whereas my 2016 struggled with rapid changes of direction and wallowed about, my 2019 is brilliant. Roll is less, body control is miles better too. The ride is actually far better than my old one too, might be because it's an estate? The whole car though rides better, handles better and refinement is better. Well worth the little extra cash.

Mind posting us a picture of the car? Would love to see how it compares vs the eibach lowering springs and stock.

Having read an article online which said how uncomfortable the ride would be with the sports suspension and 18s, I was a little apprehensive. I went with it anyway and I'm glad I did. I'm really pleased with every aspect of the ride/drive. 🙂

Still looks very high. I’d guess overall it’s more of an up rated strut/shock combo rather than overall ride hight. I test drove one of these but still wasn’t overly impressed although better than standard in regards roll and pitch when setting off.

I changed mine for Edibach springs and it was still well too soft just looked good.

Just installed proper coilovers and it’s perfect. Can’t remember how much the “sport” suspension was but glad I didn’t go for it in the end!
