Octavia hatch rear wiper motor

Featured Replies

The rear wiper motor on Darth has finally died at 14 years and 162,000 miles. I bought what I thought was the correct one from Ebay. It fits, but there are two problems:

1. There is no connection on the spindle for the washer pipe - only a spray nozzle.

2. It doesn't switch off. It keeps wiping intermittently until you turn the ignition off.

I suspect it may be for another model - any thoughts?

@matchmaker - That sounds plausible. OK, it does a different arc but, for example, the motor for the mk1 estate (all models) has no washer connection, because the washer on the estates is built into the top brake light.

Definitely for the estate as mentioned. You need one like this. Item number 14286791288358C70790-D5FC-481C-B91F-0B7E018C1FA3.thumb.png.7778fd464d9d4f82a6a4f46dfbada07f.png
