1,900 miles in vRS in first week! - And beats a plane

Featured Replies

Wow, I've clocked up phenomenal mileage in my first week, did 280 miles yesterday then had to dash up to Scotland, a round trip of 800 miles, that's over 1,000 miles in 24 hours!!!!!! Average consumption with occasional heavy foot was 48.5. No oil needed.

My only niggles are that the wing mirrors are a little small and I have yet to get the best seating position. Getting the seat set up is driving me slightly nuts. If I can't get them sorted soon may get some replacements. If only I had my Scoob's seats. I've noticed that after a motorway run it vibrates a bit through the gear stick, goes after a rest.

This car really grows on you. I dropped off some people at Glasgow airport and one has a 997 and the other a TVR, both were impressed, couldn't believe how cheap and good it is. Oh, I got home quicker, but only because the landing gear on their plane showed up as faulty so had to do an emergency landing with fire engines chasing alongside and then had to wait for another plane :) So if your're in Oxford and can't decide which way to Glasgow is quickest, take the vRS!

Think I'll do less miles next week.

Mike

epic journey, glad you're happy with it.... and remember the mpg and performance will increase with the miles, they tend to loosen up by 10,000 :)
