Convert to 100% sleeper TDI to SDI rebadge

Featured Replies

Being very pleased at all the confused faces being overtaken by a 20 yr old octavia (90hp remap to 120hp) I reckon making the car even more confusing by replacing the rear TDI badge with the SDI one (regardless the redesign 1.9 SDI or the old LX SDI or whatever was pre redesign emblem) .

Unfortunately, the SDI's were never sold in my country so junkyards wont help. Ebay and google only have the Fabia ones which are 90 mm wide, the octavia is 130 mm.

If anyone has any info where I could source one or even has them themselves please let me know here or PM. Maybe someone has a third option?

Thanks!

I've included two ebay listings below that offer 1.9 sdi badges for less than 10 Euro and will deliver worldwide:

I also looked on aliexpress but couldn't find any listings.

Thanks for the links, but as I've stated these are for Fabia (90 mm wide) and I need the emblems for Octavia (130 mm wide). Regardless, I've PM'd them if they have Octavia ones.

OK, I didn't know they were different.

Well, I can confirm the dimensions, I presume because "Octavia" is a longer word than "Fabia", and the engine badge is sized to match the length of the model script.

I found the part number: 1U0853687G FXC it is the 1.9 SDI Octavia badge. There are a few on Ebay and other sites, but are quite expensive (~40€+postage) because you get new badges with both Octavia letters and the 1.9 SDI chrome badge. But some scrapyards told me they'll look into it.
