Question: How to make the Cruse Control to work from lower speeds?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there any chance to make the Cruse Control to work from lower speeds than 20 km/h?

The Car is: Skoda Superb 2 Face Lift Combi, Year 2014, 2.0TDI, 170hp, 4х4, 6DSG.

Please tell, why would you want to be able to use CC at that speed?

To "Skoffski" - Because I regularly drive on bad roads and I do not want to lower and accelerate the speed nervously every few meters..

The car would be more nervous than you if it has to keep trundling along regardless while all you do is steer around the potholes etc.

20 kmh is 12mph! Cruise Control is designed for highway/motorway cruising i.e. higher speeds.

Put the car in 'D', take your foot off the accelerator and it'll happily sit at 12mph until it runs out of fuel.

Cruise control is only active from 30 Km/h or 20 M/H.

To "26DIPP" - My is active from 20 km/h..

Mine is only active from about 25kph, which matches what the manual (2014) says: "The Cruise Control System (CCS) maintains a set speed, more than 25 km/h, without you having to actuate the accelerator pedal."
