Hello everyone. I need to replace the expansion tank on my 06 Fabia VRS. However, after purchasing one from Euro Car parts, the sensor switch will not fit the new one - the prongs must be slightly different. Anyone else experience this - and does anyone have a solution?

yes Tech1e, although it must only be a slight difference (like the prongs in the new tank are either slightly further apart or something). The sensor just won't clip onto it.

There isn't any difference in any of the OE MK1 Fabia expansion bottles so either its duff or for another vehicle.

Ive tried 2 new tanks, both from Euro Car parts - neither fit. Perhaps I should try a different supplier.

Sounds quite logical.

 

They aren't expensive from a dealer tbf

I just had one from euro

I could get the plug or and worked out the pins were just slightly bent to low bent up very slightly. On it went and worked perfectly
