Octavia Mk1 2007 Elegance

Featured Replies

Hi all Octavia drivers.

I have a simple problem, which means that I am probably wrong to start with, in as much as my rear windscreen washer jet is not, apparently, being supplied with water. The simple part of my problem is that I do not know where the pump is fitted.  Having electrical skills and a pinch of common sense, I might be able to resolve the cause of the fault.  Any assistance will be very much appreciated.

Happy motoring, dudes

Lojong

The pump is on the washer bottle in the engine bay. The Mk1’s do suffer with the pipe coming apart from a connection under where the multi changer is in the left side of the boot. The actual washer jet is located in the third brake light housing.

Hope this helps?

Same pump for front and rear washer.

Is it definitely a mk1? I thought after 2004 only "tour" (taxi special) mk1s were available?

Anyway... yeah, mk1 rear washer pipe disconnects itself under the boot carpet on the left hand side as you look in.

@lojong As others, check behind the access panel for the LH rear light, and under the CD stacker if it's fitted!

Hi Skoda_Driver1972  Tech 1e Mac 11irl Ken ONeill and Sunnnymane

Many thanks for all of your inputs.  The final solution was as follows:  The fault was that the through-flow of water was blocked in the rear w/s wiper motor unit through channel.  This unit was very badly corroded and rust had taken its toll.  I bought a replacement unit ( see attachment invoice) and now fitted, full w/s washers are restored.

All best wishes

Lojong
