Nice... Which exhaust system did you choose?

The "stainless pipe straight through" system. Got it built by a stainless exhaust specialist in Torbay who had all the gear to bend, etc, to fit it to my car's existing exhaust route. Its amazing how small an exhaust looks without cat/silencer/backbox. :D

Nice RASP!!! Bonnet lifter!

Nice RASP!!! Bonnet lifter!

Nice RASP!!! - at the moment

Bonnet lifter! - to follow ;)

Jason, how noisy is this straight through system when inside the cabin when -

driving normally

motorway

giving it some

idle

Is there a special tail piece or is it the same round pipe that is on the end?

Any pics?

I'm intrigued as Powerflow do a custom pipe that removes the cat and according to them, they say that it will be difficult to get any sort of noise from a diesel??

Check my dyno run video for the idle soundtrack, and when on full boost. On idle its just a burble in the background, which might annoy some who love their deathly quiet cabins, but for me its just fine. :)

I had that powerflow pipe, but it on its own will not affect engine note. I needed a high flow backbox too, in order to get any kind of burble, but it really needs a full stainless pipe with no fittings to produce a good sound. The tailpipe was attached to the stainless pipe by flairing one end, and welding on. Looks OK and sounds brilliant.
