Rear window camera - cabling

Featured Replies

I’m thinking of fitting a rear window camera, the Nextbase one that takes power and sends data to the front camera. I just wonder if anyone has fitted one of these and if so, how you routed the cable to avoid fouling the side airbags?

I routed mine along the door seals at the base of the door. However I think mine is too close to the DAB aerial in the window as it cuts the signal a lot. With experimenting with where you want to put it.

Try ferrite beads on the camera cable. Improved my DAB reception immensely.

I have one at the front camera end and currently have 2 on the rear camera and though it has improved it a bit I still lose signal quickly. The signal is not strong near me but it is much better when the rear camera is unplugged.
