Scanned yesterday and came up with this fault code, anything to be worried about? Tried searching online but doesn't seem to be a lot about it, some say ignore some say the gear selector linkage needs replacing, know cars can throw the odd code sometimes so just want to make sure

I've owned mine nearly 3 years and always see this error when scanned, yet I've had no issues with it or had errors displayed in the infotainment's vehicle status.

Yeah it's a weird one, nothing on the dashboard has alerted me to it, just by scanning, will see how it goes thank you for the reply 

This happens if someone has opened the door with the selector in any other gear than P. Why it scans as a fault I’ll never know!!
