ABS plastic protector ring

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

can anyone please tell me where I can get one of these rings? I see in the manual they are called thrower rings. I can’t find one online anywhere can’t even remember if the hub had one within when I stripped it but wanting one for the rebuild. If someone can help it will be greatly appreciated!!

Isn't there a part number on it?

If not I can look it up when I next go indoors.

Or is that not your photo above?

You can get them from tps i think there called a bearing dust cap just tell them its on the drive shaft. Some times they dont fit very well due to rust build up and  once knocked the rust off they sit to loose.

Mine were like that. They were just hanging loose and I couldn't get them to fit back properly so I just left the buggers off.

Same here mate,

Sometimes you get these as part of replacement CV joints, I've had the plastic ones and aluminium ones from the same supplier so it's pot luck!
