Is the 1.6tdi 2010 in the Skoda the same as the A3 1.6tdi same year

Featured Replies

Hi i had a skoda fabia 1.6tdi non ea189 fix that i have since passed on to my daughter ,i have sinced purchased a A3 1.6tdi cab (had fix but since rollbacked )same year as the fabia 2010 .

I noticed once the Fabia was up to 90c idle speed was 800rpm but the A3 once up to temp at 90c is at 7800 and feels smooth enough ...I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on whethere 7800rpm on the a3 is strange as the Fabia sits 800rpm ,any input on this would be apreciated ..Would like to add that i am going to purchase a Hex Can soon ..

7800rpm on a diesel thats some going!

Extremely fast idle no wonder it is smooth, I'd expect marks on the bonnet though, now 780rpm might be a better idle speed?

Though maybe a funky high speed diesel.

Cant seem to find the edit but it's obviously a typo and should read 780...
