water ingress

Featured Replies

Can anyone help, I have an octy slxi just recently it has started to have a puddle of water in the footwell of the rear passenger side seat, there is none any where alse. To date i have had both passenger side doors checked and the usual pollen filter etc.

Has anyone had this problem or know of a cure.

many thanks

I would guess that the hose that feeds the rear wash has popped off and is leaking, but I'm not sure if there is a connector near the rear passenger seat - someone else should be able to confirm.

I have an estate, and I would guess you *might* be able to see down the side panelling (by opening the side panel and looking from the boot) to see if the hose is disconnected... not sure how much room there might be to do that though. You might also try using the rear wash and see if the wetness gets worse..., or if you can see or hear anything leaking. By rights you would get no rear wash fluid appearing of course.
