Replacement key

Featured Replies

I have misplaced my spare key and would like a replacement in case it doesn't turn up. What would be the most cost effective route - I expect the dealer would be prohibitively expensive

Go to an auto locksmith, they should be able to copy the transponder from your other key.

If you have keyless entry, I assume you would loose the different settings from key 1,2 etc as it will be cloned (but don’t know for sure).

Hope it isn’t KESSY as made my eyes water and I got it cost price, and coded it myself. £297 inc. 😳

They can source keys from China which are fake copies but do work on the whole. Apollo auto are a good supplier, but let the locksmith source it.

Or you could get a normal key without radio fob (just the transponder chip) again from a locksmith, I think the AA have a locksmith service too, they may source a genuine key from TPS though, best to get quotes first.
