Nice to see it in something other than velvet red

Another velvet red short report - nothing really new but they did praise the refinement

Great cars but $hitty names. WTF means Kamiq? Or Karoq? Probably some retarded marketing guy from the VAG came with the bright idea that meaningless names that have K's and Q's in them will appeal to the masses. When will be available the KAQOKARQ model?

Skoda have had crap names for decades, like your 'Happy' or is it a 'Happy Ending'.

Autogefeuhl by far the best video.  Good shots of various colours early on

Not that it really matters but eventually there will be a clear figure on how much more ground clearance a standard suspension Kamiq has over a standard suspension Scala and is it 40 mm (4 cm)

So the same with either when fitted with the 'Sport' which would each be 10 mm lower & still 40 mm difference.

Or as has been said in some reviews, the Scala Optional Suspension is 15mm lower than the standard suspension.

Maybe Skoda Media Packs could make it clearer to the Reviewers / Journalists.

All good reviews but still no prices or UK specs.

My favourite of all time in a review is

"our car is sitting on 17" wheels which is likely to be the middle option between 16 and 18 inches."

This guy is a genius i would say.

'Skoda says trim structure will largely  mirror the Scala's format'.    So they are not saying as likely Skoda UK do not know what the Post BREXIT car will have or cost.

***The Kodiaq is not an Offroader so the Karoq was not the 2nd Offroader they launched as not an Offroader either,

just a car that might have AWD and crap OEM tyres.***

Wings of Peterborough expect to have one on 4th November

My local friendly and trusted sales executive tells me that he will be going to the launch in Leeds in October and knows not much on the Kamiq as is the norm.

They find out what they find out when Skoda UK might know whats what.

Mustapha of Skoda UK said on live chat "available to order on the 8th October"

  • 2 weeks later...

According to this weeks Auto Express the Kamiq goes on sale in November with prices starting at £17,700. Standard equipment will include 16" alloys, LED headlights and a 6.5" infotainment system. Prices rise to £21,180 for the SEL which comes with 17" alloys, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors and a 9.2" screen. A flagship Monte Carlo with a racy bodykit will launch later with pano roof and sports seats and its price will be announced shortly.;)

Maybe it will be known as a KAROQ OF ****E!

Available in the UK from November 2019.

Asked my dealer in showrooms November for order delivery  mid January

I like black, just never having a black car ever again.

As for the wheels, no way, more tyre and less vulnerable alloy needed.

Configurator live on web site now. Better start saving though because it's gonna cost you £26k if you want a DSG with anything like competitors specs and I do !! Looks like I willl have to make do with a plastic T-Cross!
