Have I disabled Kessy....................?

Featured Replies

My 245 has Kessy, if I lock the car with the key fob remote and then touch the sensor on the front doors handles as though I am locking the car you can hear there car lock itself again. Then try and open the door by grabbing the front door handle, the car won't open. you have to use the remote.

Is this away of disabling kessy so the key fob isn't sending out a signal ?

I think it's more a case of the car ignoring the signal. ;)

Think your just double deadlocking the doors. Wife's Karoq has KESSY and we both just tap the sensor on either front door handle to lock it and never use the remote.

So if the car is ignoring the signal can not be pinched using the lap top method.  ie no key fob required ?

You could try placing a WANTED ad for friendly car thief to test KESSY system at home and buy them a pint if they can't steal your car or wave at them if they manage to start it.:whew:

There's no such thing as double deadlocking AFAIK. Doing what you do may in fact disable the deadlock. Try it with a third person inside the car.

There's a few threads already about what you're asking Andy but in essence, if the car is ignoring the Kessy aspect, then no amount of laptops will be able to be used.
