Can’t download address book??

Featured Replies

Have tried to download my address book to the head unit and when done it says ‘no numbers stored’ any ideas??

Ps. Phone works fine with headunit...

2014 mk2 facelift superb.....

A few things (and note that this is for a 2014 with a Columbus headunit - if you have a Bolero or an Amundsen then things might be different)...

  1. Using the Maxidot, delete any phones from the system including the one you are trying and connect again. Check if you have the phone book.
  2. If not, use the Maxidot display and navigate to the settings menu. There's an option to "Select memory". If not already selected, select "SIM & Phone" and update the address book  (my 2014 was set to "Phone" so it wasn't getting my numbers as they were all on the SIM card).  I have inserted a pic of the manual page for this below.
  3. If you have a lot of contacts on your phone, there is also a setting that amounts to telling the unit to update the phonebook one entry at a time vs. in bulk. Something like that anyways. I found that I needed to use the one entry at a time method. Takes a tad longer but worked.

That's what Skoda calls it's "Amundsen". There's two models, an RNS 310 and the "+" is an RNS 315.

They are is use across the VAG group, its just that VW, Seat and Skoda add their own brand names. You can google for RNS 310 and get far more hits that may help - it makes no difference what vehicle they installed it in, an RNS 310 is an RNS 310 whatever dashboard it sits in.

There should be a manual for it with the car - separate to the users handbook. It should tell you the model number. AFAIK, the RNS 315 is different in that it may have DAB radio and the bluetooth is built in whereas the RNS 310 uses a bluetooth module under the drivers seat (like the Columbus I have).
