Hello I am new to skoda. I have just bought a 2018 Octavia vrs 245 estate in white for myself and lovely yet rather fussy dog. I will hopefully be picking up the car in the next few weeks once I back off work trips. I look forward to meeting some of you

Hi Joshua hope you enjoy your 245 as much as I do driving mine for the last 23 months so pleased I decided to buy it.

I am looking forward to it very much Its been ages since I have drove a powerful petrol as I have had Astra diesels for the past few years

You might be pleasantly surprised how economical the 245 can be with a light right foot, saw indicated 47.7mpg the other day and managed 419 miles on the last tank (48litres).

When I took it for a test that surprised me also I was expecting low 30s as the last petrol car I had was a megane R26R it only managed 28mpg with a light foot it is far smaller car and a bit less power.

My last performance car was a 2003 stage 1 Leon Cupra which I bought new before I got married and that had a 55 litre fuel tank yet couldn't manage more than 30mpg (360 mile range) despite having only 230bhp and 230lb/ft of torque.

So I have had the car for a few days now and I love it. The dog also loves it which is great for him.I will get some of the outside of it in the next few days.

Looks like he's thinking you went too fast Josh I nearly lurched up all over you.

Maby so it's also new so he must lick and sniff everything. He was also fresh out of the groomers which are the enemy as they clean him and give no treats.

A bit late but an out side picture of the car after a good clean with some adventures with the dog
