"kinetic persuasion"

"knockometric tuning"

"Newtonian nudging"

"tw*tting the f*** out of it"

Any of these sound familiar?;)

This comment is unrelated to the issue with you car but I can sympathise. My wife was diagnosed with fibro nearly 10 years ago. We have lived with fibro fog, aches, pains, numbness etc ever since. Not an easy time of it I must say. However she has since seen a new doctor and he took a look at her medical records and numerous tests over the years and asked the question had anyone ever noticed that according to her blood tests it looks live she is gluten intolerant. Well fast forward a few months, a diagnosis of celiac disease and shes now off all her medication bar one, up and about and feeling 100% better.

Food for thought (gluten free of course).

so whats my next step guys replace one of the horns see if that sorts it?

mine being a 2007 MK2 2.0 scout would they be in the same place?

Sometimes if you give them a few sharp taps they work a little bit.

otherwise:

Test light or multimeter and check for voltage at the horn.

Check for continuity to eath.

If that's OK then:

Remove a horn. jury rig a couple of wires and test it directly on the battery.

Ther's no point firing the parts cannon at it until you've diagnosed the real problem.

You've probably had a dead one for years. I'd guess the LHS for no other reason than that's the one that died on mine

so anyways looks like I need to buy a new horn and you say if i take off the bumper grill i should be able to get to it in there?

scout 2.0 TDI estate 2007

Pull the foglight and the wheel arch liner.  You can just bend the liner out of the way

Hows the fog light come out do you get to the fog light from under the bonnet, does the wheel have to come off to undo the liner? Or just undo a few screws at the from part of the liner

As I posted earlier

Vehicles RS and Scout:

–Remove the front wheelhouse liner.

MK2 1.9 PD horn is located at front right (coolant reservoir side) and can be accessed by removing the small grill section/foglight.  This also gives access to windscreen washer motor.

I discovered the horns recently when doing this on my facelift model too.

dont know why they put them there tbh

Has anyone found out the best way to get to the scout 4x4 horns? mines gone again, can you take out the round fog light and get your hand inside to the horn rather then taking out all the lining ??
