Hi there quick question

what does everyone think

I've a 2015 superb at 85000k

is it still worth while to go to main dealer for service or would I be better off using local garage thanks ?

It all depends on your dealer and if you can strike a deal on how much your service will cost, especially if you provide the oil as well against what your local independent charges.

In my case I always get a deal with the dealer which makes it worth while.

I always use a local VAG Specialist Independent - Labour rates about half that of the main dealer. I suppose that it comes down to what you are happy with.

As your car is likely to be out of warranty probably wise to sort basic parts from local Skoda dealer if not too far from you and supply your own oil to a good local independent garage so you have peace of mind as to what has been used/fitted but save on the labour costs. That is what I plan when my warranty expires in 13 months time.

I have been using a non Skoda garage for all of my servicing  after the first two services with Skoda.  Never had a problem with them and saved a lot of money in the process.  This is on my Superb that I had from new in 2009.  Just find a good garage that you can trust and go ahead,  let them provide service items and do the servicing for you.

You're out of warranty, and are above Skoda's goodwill gesture limit of 60,000 miles.

However, Skoda UK's fixed price servicing for vehicles three years old or older is very competitive. I've found very few independents can beat their prices by much, even less so when you factor in the free courtesy cars etc.

Hi, my Superb hasn't done anywhere near 60.000 miles and the garage I use also supplies a free courtesy car.  I'm quite happy with the servicing that I get from the independent garage that I use.
