CV BOOT Replacment

Featured Replies

I've recently had my car MOT'ed and one of the advisories it had was to replace an "offside outer drive shaft joint constant velocity boot severely deteriorated cv gaiter leaking grease ".

I'm non the wiser on how to do it with regards to MY15 Fabia. Is there any special tools I would require or any videos I can look up with regards to the car. The car in question is a 2015 1.0 (75hp) mpi SE Fabia.

Unless your good and have tools your better of having someone do it. The parts are cheap but involves removing the brake calliper, hub nut and some of the suspension to get it out. Then a torque wrench to put the nut back on.

Sounds like a fair amount of work, thank god it's just the one for now. I'll probably take it a friend of mine who's handy with skodas. knowing my luck I'd mess something up and leave the car inoperable.

Thank you thou for your feedback
