As if there's any competition. The e-Niro every single day. Leaf hasn't changed enough from 2011 to make it competitive.

This is really telling of how bad the Leaf's drivetrain is, today:

The most important aspect of the e+ is its longer range, but at 239 miles (WLTP), it’s still shorter than the e-Niro’s on-paper range of 282 miles. Yet in the real world, the difference is even greater; we managed efficiency of 3.5 miles/kWh in the Leaf and 4.6 miles/kWh in the e-Niro, which works out at a real-world range of 217 miles for the Nissan and 294 miles for the Kia.

Wonder what a Kia or Nissan model would do with these ev powertrains in an aerodynamic car?

He should really let her do the videos, earn from them, let her arrange getting the cars.  She tells him what is what...

Robert gets more arseish as the years go on.

Lane Keep Assist  is on because it is on as default and if you want off you put it off.

Regen is not feeling like there is much because he has it in D and if he wanted more he would need to go to B and even with 95% in the battery it would put power into the battery.

Then the Sports switch with engine sound enhancement needs enabled or you will not hear it....

^^^ This is a UK Winter where day and night temps are around freezing or below in some areas,

so maybe some reviewer will go borrow one as they are 'workers' and go see if they will do 150 miles on a full charge'.

The biggest surprise to me was that you can still buy BMW i3 with Range Extender as i thought they were discontinued.

Funnily there was no mention of how far the i3 went on a charge. (without the petrol engine charging the car if it had a petrol engine.)

More fiction WLTP figures.

Heaviest of the various PSA cars by about 200kg unladen over the lightest e-208 / e-Corsa with all the same underpinnings, battery and motor &  slower 0-62 mph time, yet the highest range figure given.

Only those in the Magic Circle will know how they manage to be able to alter the laws of physics.

My money is on them claiming a software update that magically makes everything run better.

It does feel a little like dieselgate all over again and clearly some range standards need to be designed to standardise the figures properly.

Mix in some cold running, some warm running and a random mix of hard driving and city style stop start driving.

They really need to do something about the complete fiction coming from the hybrid cars too.

They really need to give 2 figures as a minimum allowing that they get to say what ever on ambient temps.

Give the Unladen test results with a 75kg driver or whatever, and then at full revenue weight / gross max for the vehicle.

That will be near to what buyers might expect to get as a range even when not carrying that weight.

Grrrrr. I was hoping to benefit from the grant when purchasing a Model Y.  Ah well, this is expected.

Hopefully that money goes towards rapid charging infrastructure.
