I've got VCDS full version but haven't used it yet.

I intend to replace the throttle pedal/tps assembly with a brand new part with the identical part number.

Will I need VCDS to write new sensor % to the ECU and set the throttle valve positions?

If so, what is the procedure please?

I fitted a new throttle pedal to my previous Yeti and it didn’t require any coding.

My car is a Rapid Spaceback 1.6 tdi 2014.

There are some contradictory Google posts about this replacement and I need to be 100% sure before I replace it due to living 30 miles from nearest assistance and my car is driving well, apart from an engine jolt on acceleration and deceleration when touching the pedal gently in slow moving traffic.
